The A53 Buxton Road, in Upper Hulme, is closed in both directions following an accident involving a lorry outside The Winking Man Pub. The road is blocked to the Royal Cottage Inn Pub. A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Please try and avoid the A53 Buxton Road while we deal with an RTC. Luckily nobody appears seriously injured.” Read MorePolice: ‘Can you help us spot this man or his car?’ Traffic monitoring company INRIX says the road is shut to help officers on the scene. A spokesman said: “A53 in both directions closed, slow traffic due to accident, a lorry involved from A53 (The Winking Man Pub) to Royal Cottage Inn Pub. “The road has been closed to help assist emergency services who are in attendance to an accident outside The Winking Man Pub.
