There are several countries in the Caribbean to date which have honorary councils and diplomatic relations by non nationals. Countries utilize this as a tool for economic and political influence. We do not have the resources to have embassies in the major capital of the world and because we do not have significant Dominican population, we never made a justification for councilor offices,’ he explained.According to Henderson, government believes that in order to move Dominica forward, it is necessary to appoint non Dominicans at honorary councils and ambassadors. He said this is the government’s plan for economic development and create political influence all over the world.Dominica Vibes News Sharecenter_img LocalNews Dominica’s UN Ambassador defends diplomatic appointments by: – February 8, 2012 Sharing is caring!
